Gilbert Gottfried sees firing as a "Gift"

Gilbert Gottfried was fired yesterday as the voice of the "aflack duck" for insensitive remarks concerning the disasters in Japan. "At last my personal nightmare comes to an end" remarked Gottfried. "It was truly a blessing that I had prayed for. The tens of thousands I was being paid for the 3 minutes of voice-over work recorded at my home each year was an unspeakable burden no one should have to bear. I feel as if a great weight has been lifted and now I can get on with enjoying life."
