New Clint Eastwood film

C. McCarthy” is the latest film from director Clint Eastwood. As the face of ventriloquist dummies in America for almost 50 years, Charlie McCarthy was feared and admired, reviled and revered. But behind closed doors, he held secrets that would have destroyed his image, his career, and his life.

NFL joke of the week

Why did the NFL refs confirm Linda Blair's touchdown? Because they determined that she maintained possession!

Ravens win! and other stuff

The Ravens won the Har-bowl. On Thanksgiving Day, we called one of three games correctly, which aint half bad. It's actually much worse than half bad since it is 33 percent while "half-bad" is 50 percent. Did you ever watch football in the 70's or 80's? If yes, do you recall how often the announcer would tell you that the holder for the field-goal attempt was the second-string quarterback, and so you need to "watch out for the possibility of the fake field-goal". Bob Trumpy and Don Criqui would say this at every game. In decades of watching pro football on TV, I have seen maybe one fake field-goal attempted during a game. In the last bit of football news, Ravens QB Joe Flacco threw a "frozen rope" with that TD pass in Thursday's game. A picture of a frozen rope has been provided in case you don't believe me.

Ravens going to Win Har-bowl

The Ravens play the 49ers in Baltimore on Thanksgiving night in cold, cold, Baltimore. The 49ers do not want to be making this trip. It is a battle of wills and Harbaughs as John Harbaugh (Gallant) versus Jim "Slappy Hayes" Harbaugh (Goofus). Ravens will win 23-7. In related games, Packers still trying to tackle that guy from last week's game. They will lose to Detroit 30-27. Miami will beat Dallas 16-13. That is all for now. Glad to be back.
