Scott Robert Tooley, 27, of Frederick passed away suddenly on March 5, 2011 at his home. He was born on September 20, 1983, in Ithaca, New York to Diann and Paul Tooley.
Scott's family moved to Frederick in 1985, and he attended North Frederick Elementary School, Thomas Johnson Middle School, and was a 2002 graduate of Thomas Johnson High School. Later, he attended Frederick Community College, then transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park where he majored in philosophy. Scott was a very special person who was loved by many. He will always be remembered for his keen intellect, sense of humor, and passion for music. He loved to engage in deep philosophical discussions, play the drums, talk about books and movies, and enjoy time with his numerous treasured friends.
He is survived by his mother, Diann Tooley of Frederick; father, Paul Tooley; step-mother, Ann Ryan; and siblings Sean and Eva Tooley of Braddock Heights. He is also survived by his grandmothers Marceil Tooley of Scarsdale, NY and Arvilla Wendorf of Wisconsin; and his cousins, uncles, and aunts. Scott was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lowell Tooley.
Family and friends will celebrate Scott's life on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at 2 pm at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Education Center, 40 S. Carroll Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
