We here at the blog are announcing the endorsement of Newt Gingrich for President of these here United States. Why? The man began his presidential campaign by taking a two week cruise in the Mediterranean. This speaks to the qualities we admire: slothfulness, knowing how to pace oneself, knowing how not to peak too early, comfortable enough with oneself to indulge in luxuriant pleasures at the worst possible moment, and knowing that if one has the opportunity to give speeches and participate in debates or go on a two week Mediterranean cruise, one chooses the cruise. Now, driving around in a bus in Gettysburg, Pa, in the broiling heat, that's just wrong.
